Alessandro Mucin (b. 2002) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Venice, Italy, whose practice spans photography and music. His approach to art-making is fluid, moving freely between disciplines to explore memory, identity, and perception.
Mucin's photography ranges from street photography to abstract compositions, experimenting with both film and digital mediums. His visual work is characterized by an intense exploration of the self and the use of photography as an introspective tool, framing the outside world as a blank page on which to inscribe his personal story.
A multi-instrumentalist, Mucin began playing drums at five years old, later studying piano, guitar, and double bass. He pursued classical piano and composition in Italy, followed by jazz composition and piano in New York. His music is characterized by a minimalist structure and an emphasis on nuanced harmonic and melodic exploration. All his records are self-produced and recorded in his home studio.
